Day 49: Distance Learning in lieu of Summer School
Earlier today, New York’s Governor announced a statewide directive for continued school closures during the summer. In doing so, the Governor cited concerns over the ability to exercise social distancing in schools and the recently discovered Covid-19-related pediatric multi-system inflammatory syndrome.
You may be wondering what today’s announcement means for your child with a 12-month/Extended School Year (ESY) IEP, and the role of essential child care services this summer, like day care centers and camps. Until tomorrow, stay well,
