Day 16: Parents as Superheroes
As we entered our fourth week of mandatory homeschooling today, it dawned on me that I’ve never spent this amount of time together with my three children. And yet— to my children— the time is not nearly enough. (For example, I still cannot shower in peace without one or both of my toddlers waiting impatiently behind the door.).
To our young children, we are superheroes. That type of unconditional adoration comes with the responsibility of seeing that their needs are met. This pandemic has changed the landscape of education as we know it, and my role as a special education attorney is to make sure that your child does not get left behind.
