Day 56: "Education Equity"

At today’s daily press briefing, Governor Cuomo presented a Powerpoint slide on which he listed “Education Equity” as part of the justice agenda of protesters seeking institutional reform.

As daunting of a task as that sounds, my hope is that “Education Equity” is attainable…because it is a human right.

My practice, MSR Legal & Consulting Services, is dedicated to achieving educational equity for children with special needs, no matter the child’s background or family’s ability to pay. It is, indeed, a monumental task. That’s why I rely on partnerships that engage the medical community, educators, and parents alike.

If you haven’t RSVP’d for my virtual conversation taking place tomorrow (Wednesday, June 3rd), it’s not too late. Email MidtownSpeechNYC@gmail.com for the Zoom login details. From 8:00 pm to 8:30 pm, I’ll be discussing independent educational evaluations and appropriate school placements with speech-language pathologist Rebecca Iswara, M.S., CCC-SLP, TSSLD.

To learn more about working with me to achieve educational equity for your child or your community, schedule a consultation at https://www.MSRLegal.ORG/Book-Your-Consultation. Also, follow @MSRLegalConsulting on Instagram as I post about the evolving landscape of special education in the wake of Covid-19.

Unitl tomorrow, be well,

Oroma
