Milestones for Two-Year-Olds

Your child’s earliest years are likely marked by multiple visits to the pediatrician for check-ups and well-child care. It’s important to use these visits to your advantage and help the pediatrician track your toddler’s progress.

The American Academy of Pediatrics is a great resource for parents seeking to monitor their children’s progress towards developmental milestones: https://healthychildren.org/English/ages-stages/toddler/Pages/Developmental-Milestones-2-Year-Olds.aspx . It may be beneficial to look at earlier benchmarks to document any milestones that your child may have missed. If you or the doctors have concerns over your toddler’s development, make a referral to your county’s Early Intervention Program. The evaluation is free, and if your child qualifies for services, those services are free as well.

If your child is denied eligiblity for Early Intervention, or if you disagree with the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) developed, book a virtual consultation on my website, https://www.MSRLegal.ORG/Book-Your-Consultation.
